Gigabyte amd sata controller driver drivers#
Install of the Chipset Drivers from the Gigabyte or AMD websites either also fail (latest version) or don't seem to make any difference to the problem (older versions).Īny ideas what else I could try? I would really like to use my other hard drives again
Gigabyte amd sata controller driver driver#
However, I can neither roll back the AMD driver (button is greyed out) nor install the Windows standard controller driver (install fails with a message that "the installation file for the driver is missing a necessary entry"). Device manager also no longer shows the standard Windows SATA controller (this in now listed under other devices, with a (?) and seems to not be identified correctly), however only the AMD STAT Controller (which I read should not be used due to compatibility issues) is shown under IDE.
Gigabyte amd sata controller driver update#
I have already performed two complete re-installs to try and resolve it without success and then decided to simply not update Windows, however now support is running out and the update roll back is no longer an option, so I need to face this problem:Īfter the Update to 20H2 my SATA SSDs (x3) all disappear (M.2 on which the OS runs is luckily still there).
Gigabyte amd sata controller driver windows 10#
I have been putting off this problem for a while as so far my solution was to roll back Windows 10 and not update Windows again (bad I know).
